Raby joined a Louisiana Innovation (LA.IO) panel on Louisiana Intelligence, a conversation about what AI looks like in the physical world, alongside Andrew Courtois of The Water Institute.

The two showed AI at work at the edge, in Louisiana's fields and on its rivers. Raby spoke about FarmMind's work helping growers make better decisions, turning satellite imagery, geospatial data and agronomic insight into real-time guidance for the people who feed the state. Courtois described The Water Institute's work crowdsourcing bathymetric data to map the depth and conditions of the Mississippi River in near real time, using predictive modeling to forecast channel conditions before they change.

Midway through the discussion, the two panelists realized their work intersects, one in the fields and one on the river, and that they had a real opportunity to collaborate.Louisiana Innovation (LA.IO) is the innovation division of Louisiana Economic Development. The panel was hosted by Rick Montgomery and Mark Stark's group.
