Context

LSU's E. J. Ourso College of Business reported FarmSmart's win at the 2024 J Terrell Brown Venture Challenge — "an AI-powered platform connecting modern professional farming and recreational gardening communities to tailored, high-quality information on crop management" — and its $20,000 first-place award.

The story named the founders, Grant Muslow, Julius Pallotta and Colin Raby, and traced FarmSmart to the fall 2023 Honors course on large language model development and deployment taught by LSU Provost Roy Haggerty with James Ghawaly and Henry Hays.
