Selected for the 2021 Lamar Governor's Fellowship in the Office of Gov. John Bel Edwards, placed with Louisiana Economic Development. It was a first look at how policy is made from the inside.

Raby was selected for the 2021 Lamar Governor's Fellowship Program in Louisiana Government, announced by Gov. John Bel Edwards on June 7, 2021. Fellows serve in state agencies for the summer; Raby was placed with Louisiana Economic Development.

It was his first view of policymaking from the inside, and the start of the policy thread that would later lead to Capitol Hill.The governor's office has since moved its newsroom; the link above is the archived announcement.
