Elected to Homecoming Court (Part 1)

As a sophomore, selected as one of 14 students on LSU's 2020 Homecoming Court, in the first Homecoming of the pandemic.

BATON ROUGE, La. · Colin Raby, then a sophomore studying mechanical engineering, was selected as one of 14 students on the 2020 LSU Homecoming Court.

It was a Homecoming shaped by COVID-19. The court met on Zoom, campaigned online, and gathered in person only once: a court luncheon at The Club at Union Square on Oct. 24, before LSU hosted South Carolina in Tiger Stadium. In place of the traditional field presentation, each member of the court was showcased at halftime.Raby was serving as a Residential Assistant and a Student Government senator at the time; his application centered on keeping first-year students connected while they had to stay apart.

Three years later, he would return as a member of the Senior Court.
