After helping revive LSU's Silver Wings chapter, represents Region IX as its president at the national executive board
Months after helping reactivate LSU's Silver Wings chapter, dormant since COVID, Raby is elected Region IX president and presents the State of the Region to national leadership at the Air Force Association's conference.

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. · Colin Raby represented Region IX of Silver Wings, which covers Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana, as its region president at the organization's national executive board meetings, held with the Arnold Air Society alongside the Air Force Association's Air, Space & Cyber Conference, Sept. 19–21, 2022.
Before the board, Raby presented the State of the Region: where its chapters stood, and the plan to rebuild those hit hardest by COVID. He also met national and Air Force leaders and helped set strategy for the organization's future.
Silver Wings is a national, co-ed professional organization dedicated to developing proactive, knowledgeable civic leaders through community service and education about national defense, working in partnership with the Arnold Air Society. Its motto: "Knowledge, wisdom, and the courage to serve."
The role followed a rebuild at home. LSU's Silver Wings chapter, once honored as a best student organization, had gone dormant during COVID. Raby helped bring it back, and the chapter was reactivated in spring 2022 under the leadership of Cort Fuller. That fall, as region president, he set out to stay in contact with every active chapter in the region, alongside their Arnold Air Society counterparts, and to reactivate the chapters that COVID had cost.
Weeks later, he helped organize the LSU chapter's relief trip to Fort Myers, Fla., after Hurricane Ian.
