It would be hard, he argued, for the judicial branch to decide complaints fairly once a winner had already been named.
When the 2024 election came, the Election Commission planned to announce results with complaints still unheard. Raby petitioned the judicial branch to delay the announcement, and found the source of the confusion: the code, as entered, had dropped a crucial word from his bill. "That word was 'after,'" he said. The commission postponed the announcement, and the typo was quietly corrected that night.
