Even if it was technically allowed, he said, it wasn't a precedent the Senate should endorse: "It raises the question of who are you serving." He and Graduate School Sen. Adam Dohrenwend made the constructive case too: that the student body president should be allocated enough money not to have to worry about personal finances in the first place.
